Job Description
Our precision manufacturing client near Springfield, MA is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer on first shift. Direct-hire position, not a contract, with competitive compensation and full benefits package. Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan & develop CNC manufacturing processes and co-ordinate the production of complex machined, mechanical, and welded assemblies according to customer requirements.
- Understand customer PO requirements & specifications and evaluate machine part and assembly engineering drawings to understand the processes to produce the part.
- Develop machining and assembly operation sheets and select appropriate machine tooling.
- Recognize & incorporate customer-deignated quality and inspection requirements.
- Read & interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Check first pieces for precise dimensional conformance.
- Assist Engineering & Production departments as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- HS diploma or GED; vo-tech school training would be a plus
- Proven experience in a CNC machining environment with close-toleranced manufacturing processes.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, CNC programmer, or Estimator.
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of CAD and working with CAD drawings; Autodesk products a plus.
- Ability to use precision tools (calipers, micros, etc.) to take accurate measurements
- Solid GD&T and ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Good shop math with analytical abilities
- A “print to production” capability in CNC manufacturing engineering.

Salary: $100,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
