Job Description
Our precision manufacturing client in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a CMM Programming Inspector on first shift. Direct-hire position, not a contract, with competitive compensation and full benefits package. Candidates should be familiar with how to program a CMM not just operate it. Responsibilities include perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections. Qualified candidates should have minimum 4 years’ experience working on complex precision machined components
Duties & Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate a CMM (Computer Measuring Machine)
- Knowing any of the following programs is a plus: PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, etc.
- Review blueprints, drawing, and/or specifications for incoming parts
- Inspect first, in-process, and final pieces for precise conformance to specified dimensions
- Analyze any problems, initiating corrective action, and reporting results to Quality Manager
- Verify that machined parts meet specifications, identify and document any non-conforming pieces
- Updating production documentation for inspection parts status
- Communicate inspection results to Quality Manager and notify vendors of non-conformances
Qualifications & Requirements
- HS diploma or GED; vo-tech school training a plus
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CMM inspection of close-toleranced parts in an AS9100/ISO9001 environment
- Ability to program CMM machines
- Ability to use manual inspection tools such as calipers, micros, gauges, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and operation sheets.
- Ability to follow set-up instructions and operate machine controls.
- Ability to write non-conformance reports
- Good attention to detail and a focus on precision
Work Week
- 40 hrs + Overtime Available
Shifts
- 1st: Mon-Fri 7:00AM – 3:30 PM
