One of SkillSource Tech's recruiting specialties is - CNC Machinist Recruiting.

CNC Recruiting Is One of Our Core Specialties

CNC machining isn’t one skill set — it’s a spectrum from operators who load parts and hit cycle start, to programmers who can write a job from a blank blueprint. SkillSource Tech recruits across that entire range, matching the right level of CNC expertise to what your shop actually needs.

Controls and Machine Types We Recruit For
  • Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens & Okuma control systems
  • 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC Mills
  • CNC Lathes & Live-Tool Turning Centers
  • Mill/Turn Centers

We maintain a continuously growing database of CNC-specific talent, built from years of recruiting exclusively in precision manufacturing — not a general labor pool we’re trying to stretch to fit your opening.

We have curated a database of thousands of CNC Machinists from across the country
Why Manufacturers Choose SkillSource Tech for CNC Machinist Recruiting

Hiring a CNC operator when you needed a programmer — or the reverse — is an expensive mistake that costs weeks of runway. By nailing down exactly what “CNC experience” means for each candidate before we ever present them, we save you from finding that mismatch out the hard way, three weeks into the job.

What We Screen For

Anyone can claim “CNC experience” on a resume. We dig into what that actually means for each candidate:

  • Can they operate the machine, or can they also program it — and in what CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Esprit, etc.)?
  • Do they understand G-code and M-code well enough to troubleshoot on the floor, or are they running someone else’s program?
  • Can they set offsets, adjust tooling, and dial in feeds and speeds independently?
  • Do they read blueprints and GD&T callouts accurately, or just “get by”?
  • Have they worked to tight-tolerance standards (aerospace, medical device, etc.), or mostly general fabrication?

We confirm this through direct technical screening, not just a resume keyword match — so the person you interview is who they say they are.

Our Placement Process

From initial screening through technical vetting, scheduling, and final offer, we manage the entire search so you’re only spending time with candidates who are already qualified and interested. Every placement is backed by our 90-day guarantee.
